Privacy Policy

Doxology Way is designed as a local-first daily prayer and scripture app. Doxology LLC does not operate advertising, third-party analytics, or user-tracking systems in the app.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your preferences, reminder settings, completed rhythm items, bookmarks, prayer requests, reflections, journal notes, and your reading streak on your device. This information is used to make the app work for you and is not sent to any server.

Network requests

Doxology Way works fully offline. The Bible texts, daily readings, prayers, historical entries, and commentary are included in the app, and the app does not send your reading, searches, journal, or any other content over the internet. The app does not contact any Bible service, analytics service, or advertising network.

The only times the app opens the internet are when you tap a link: to this website (for example the privacy policy or terms), to send feedback by email, or to the public-domain book a prayer comes from (for example on archive.org). These open in your browser or mail app, outside Doxology Way, and are governed by that site's own policy. Apple may share anonymous crash and usage reports with us only if you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your device settings.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Doxology Way uses your device notification system to schedule prayer, reading, and custom reminders. Notification permission is controlled by your device settings.

Journal export and sharing

If you choose to export or share content from the app, your device may open the native share sheet. What happens next depends on the app or service you choose from that share sheet. You can export your journal as readable text or as a JSON backup from the Profile screen.

Accounts, purchases, and cloud sync

The current version of Doxology Way does not require an account, does not use active cloud sync, and does not include any in-app purchase or subscription. Doxology Way is sold as a one-time paid download through the App Store.

Data retention and deletion

Because the current version stores personal app content on your device, Doxology Way does not keep a server-side copy of your journal notes, prayer requests, bookmarks, rhythm progress, or preferences. You can delete everything the app stores at any time with Delete All My Data on the Profile screen, delete individual entries inside the app, or remove the app from your device.

Your choices

You can control notification permission in your device settings. You can also choose whether to export or share content from the app. If Doxology Way adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, subscriptions, or other data practices in the future, this policy will be updated.
