Information stored on your device

The app may store your preferences, reminder settings, completed rhythm items, bookmarks, prayer requests, reflections, journal notes, and cached scripture passages on your device. This information is used to make the app work for you and is not sent to Doxology servers.

Network requests

Some scripture features use third-party Bible services to load chapter text or search scripture. These requests may include the Bible reference, search text, and selected translation needed to return the requested passage. The app currently uses bible-api.com for passage and chapter display and bolls.life for Bible search.

We do not use these services for advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. These services may process technical information, such as your IP address, as part of responding to the request.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Doxology uses your device notification system to schedule prayer, reading, and custom reminders. Notification permission is controlled by your device settings.

Journal export and sharing

If you choose to export or share content from the app, your device may open the native share sheet. What happens next depends on the app or service you choose from that share sheet.

Accounts, purchases, and cloud sync

The current version of Doxology does not require an account, does not use active cloud sync, and does not include an active in-app purchase or subscription flow.

Data retention and deletion

Because the current version stores personal app content on your device, Doxology does not keep a server-side copy of your journal notes, prayer requests, bookmarks, rhythm progress, or preferences. You can delete locally stored app data by deleting the content inside the app where available or by removing the app from your device.

Your choices

You can control notification permission in your device settings. You can also choose whether to export or share content from the app. If Doxology adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, subscriptions, or other data practices in the future, this policy will be updated.
